CAST New Application Cycle

As of 2023, there is now one application cycle open per year that programs may submit an application for new CAST accreditation. The new application cycle is open every January 1st and closes February 28th. Additionally since 2023, five year renewal applications will no longer be required as the yearly annual report that programs must submit once initially approved will offer continuous accreditation.

Every new application for accreditation will be required to submit the following information:

  • Demographic information for program
  • Site information
  • Faculty information
  • Block diagram
  • Fellow schedule
  • Supervision structure
  • Communication plan
  • Evaluation structure
  • Fellowship and residency relationship
  • Institutional case numbers for the most recent full academic year
  • Attestation letter
  • Chair support letter(s)
  • Application fee

Click here to request access to a new fellowship application or you may email cast@abns.org to request one. Once CAST receives a request it will be assigned and the application will be available for completion via SM Apply. The owner of the application is able to add collaborators to assist in entering data into the application.

All application fees must be paid online within the application via debit or credit card. Do not send checks to the CAST office.
