Each of these committee representatives serves a two year term, renewable once for a total of four years of service. Yearly terms follow the academic year.
Neurocritical Care Fellowship Accreditation
Neurocritical Care fellowship and Neurotrauma accreditation will be done by the NCTAC (Neurocritical Care Trauma Advisory Committee) under the authority of the Society of Neurological Surgeons through CAST. This committee will establish fellowship requirements based on agreed-upon criteria, which will include neuro ICU and trauma patient management experience as well as rotations to other ICUs, faculty expertise, facilities, learning and academic environment, and institutional/departmental support. The NCTAC committee will use these criteria to approve fellowship applications.
Neuroendovascular Fellowship Accreditation
Neuroendovascular accreditation will be done by NESAC (Neuroendovascular Surgery Advisory Committee) under the authority of the Society of Neurological Surgeons through CAST. This committee will establish educational and training requirements for fellowship programs based on agreed-upon criteria, which will include patient management information for training fellows, faculty experience, facilities, academic environment, and institutional/departmental support. The NESAC committee will use these criteria to approve fellowship applications.
