The Committee on Advanced Subspecialty Training

The Committee on Advanced Subspecialty Training (CAST) functions under and is responsible to the Council of The Society of Neurological Surgeons. CAST is responsible for accreditation of subspecialty training fellowships and for the development and updating of subspecialty training requirements.

CAST Annual Report

  • Annual Report:  Opens June 1st and Closes July 31st

CAST Spring & Fall Application Cycles

CAST has set two application cycles per year. Applications are required for any new programs, 5-year renewals, compliment changes and/or site changes. 

Effective June 1, 2021, the application review cycles are as follows:

  • Spring Application:  Opens January 1st and Closes February 28th
  • Fall Application:  Opens August 1st and Closes September 30th
